Story behind the song
A hitchhiking song. (Don't try this in your century.) I once cut a ride from Sequoia to Yosemite and then ended up camping with four very beautiful young college women in a VW van. There was much flirting, but, perhaps sadly, no romance. But at least they didn't dump me by the side of the road at the bottom of the grapevine.
