If I could speak a word to you
I’d shout til forever and on
And if I could show myself the light
I’d sit on the sun
But from my lips come no sound
And darkness is all I’ve found
If you can see me then I won’t hide
And if you can hear me you’ll know I tried
But while I climb my tassels to the stars

If I could run to anywhere in the world
I’d be miles away from here
And if I could just change my mind
I ‘d make smiles from all my tears

With the same dark lines upon my face
