Story behind the song
A kata is a martial arts exercise... I consider this as much, an exercise in my writing ability for public display, to give the people a taste of what I'm trying to do while I prep more professional releases. This kata shows a bit of my sociopolitical side.
Lyrics
I travel the green Earth of God watchin' it turn brown like the skin of a people that's turned down whether by themselves or some form of oppressor and can't recall their passt from the alpha to Omega While others keep their culture as alive as they feel We just clutch up on a Bible and kneel but see, I had a conversation with Jah like L. Ron Hubbard on how the Black soul is seemin' like a poor man's cupboard Jah said "Meh na gon butter up the situation Along the way uno forgotten how to build a nation Instead of focus on economics and education you simply learn how fi bruk up man-ooman relations" So I was sent back to Earth and my mission was clear to hit with the force of an Ali and the sharpness of a spear in the hands of Huey Newton, and brace for the storm clouds brewin' and work to prevent the final ruin so [Jesus walks] as a black rebel for change with no time for the dust to settle [Jesus walks with me] Forget the metal Gun-butt ya with the facts from a higher level [Jesus walks] up in your hometown [Jesus walks] Don't mess around [Jesus walks with me]
