Story behind the song
I wrote this song as an imaginary conversation with Jesus following an evening of reflecting on my past with much self loathing. I started imagining Jesus telling me after each angry, tearful daggar I threw at myself that it was exactly those weakest, failure plagued moments when he loved me most. In the final analysis I have to question whether it was a purely imaginary conversation or was the answer and its origin more than that. I don't know but the peace I felt at the end was palpable.
