You ask me where I’m going
I don’t know I swear
The cold winter wind that’s blowing
And this bitterness I can’t bear
I’ll park this truck here
Think about what I’ve done
None of it seems clear
You were my number one
The whiskey is numbing
As the panic slowly enters
Tomorrow, Ill be running
A smooth cut never splinters
This emotion took hold of me
Like a human war machine
In all my self-inflicted pity
Here in this quiet scene
All prior thoughts consumed
Unsettling feeling consciously
All that ceased soon resumed
“This is how it must be, I’m sorry
It cuts through you like cold steel
I should have learned to fight
Only I cause this pain I feel
Please give me the chance to make it right
