Holding pattern is an experiment in the use of Logic as a composition tool for musik that could only be created in a Digital Audio Workstation. We make much use of imported text files that are then cut up using the Strip Silence function. The regions created in this way are then converted into separate audio files which are then imported into the EXS sampler. Creativity starts at this stage and the material itself suggests which way the composition takes.
