Run and play
Doesn’t matter what you say
And I might just stay
Until the nighttime turns to day
We didn’t care
So long as we were having fun
It didn’t matter where
The shadows dancing in the sun
So why can’t things be the same?
When did such a good thing change?
We did not worry about shame
No such thing and being strange
The hapless display
When these thoughts fade away
Wistful dreams by the bay
The cold spring turns to May
So much more
If I could only just go back
What’s this life for?
Up high these odds stack
I wouldn’t give it away for nothing
The memories that I can only dream
A good future this past will bring
So relax and float down this stream
