Back in the day, when we were young
a Summer day would last forever
and The old folks would say, “Don’t squander your youth
time moved slow, and we all thought we were clever.
Time slips away, ( it seems that) time can slip away,
Time slips away, you can’t get it back
Time moved on, and before you know
I’m and old man, with a lot of time on my hands.
But the time moves faster now, so you better not blow it
I can see where’s it heading now So as I understand
So we think when we are younger
That There’s lots of time left for you
time speeds up as you grow older
and there’s nothing you can do
