Mighty Fungo is a country music band of like-minded crazy musicians from five different states who originally came together by mere chance and for no particular purpose. But they clicked musically and decided to write and record their idea of music in case someone was nutty enough to want to listen to it. “New Man from the Bullpen is their first single for indie Nashville music label, Nerthling Records. Taking a cue from The Ramones, Mighty Fungo members are: Bob Fungo (songwriter & rhythm guitar), Ron Fungo (vocals & lead guitar), Matt Fungo (vocals & bass), Mike Fungo (multi-instrumentalist), and Frank Fungo (drums). Their major influences are traditional and novelty Country Music, Sixties Rock. and Surf Instrumentals. Their most urgent goal is to perform an internationally broadcast concert from the moon in the year 2029 on the 60th anniversary of the first lunar landing. At present they are writing and practicing new and old songs for that momentous occasion. Their debut music video was directed by award-winning filmmaker Chip Miller, and is an homage to the great American pastime of baseball. The video premieres worldwide on August 18th on CMT and YouTube. 2024 tour dates to be announced. Represented by Clyde Zorro Management.
