Robert Baitinger, a songwriter from Germany
For songwriters who dont sing or perform it is extremely hard to make ones mark in the music business because they dont have a platform to present and promote their work. This is more or less the situation that I, Robert Baitinger, a songwriter from Germany, have been confronted with since I started writing songs in 1978. My idea is to complement my songwriting capabilities with the "helping hands" of excellent artists, musicians and innovative producers. In the age of the internet it has become easier to communicate and collaborate with musicians and producers all over the world. I am utilizing the internet and pursuing the idea of a conceptual studio band with a frequently changing lineup of artists. I call this project the "Rob B. Project" since I supply the melodies and/or lyrics of a song and other musicians/producers/songwriters contribute their talents and skills to make it come to life.

Lyrics
CLOSE YOUR EYES Verse I fell asleep in a movie And woke up in a scene You were playing the role of the hero And you were kissing me You were my knight in shining armor I was a maiden fair You were handsome and noble And I had long blonde hair Pre-chorus For this one time just this one time Will I wake and find it's real Could it be that love is what I feel Chorus Close your eyes and let's pretend We're not who we are Close your eyes, let's pretend That we're movie stars Close your eyes, close your eyes, Just close your eyes and dream We can be anything Anything we wanna be Verse I want to keep on dreaming I want it to be real I so want my poor heart to know How other people feel I'll never, never, never, ever Have the spotlight shine on me But tonight, oh tonight my love Were gonna steal the scene Pre-chorus Chorus Bridge We'll dance out in the moonlight Well walk beneath the stars Tonight the big romantic scene Is going to be all ours Chorus Music: Robert Baitinger Lyrics: Carroll Kiphen
