This new song is based on something that I've 'rescued', from a Big Sleep song session. I've re-used parts of Tony's original melody and in places some of Tony's actual vocals. I've stylistically re-worked it and given it totally new lyrics.

Major Snagg is the invented name of the 'band' that perform all my own musical creations. (songs and instrumentals). I play guitars, bass, rudimentary keyboards, harmonica, and sing. Melody has always been important to me... lyrics and guitar solos have to say or communicate something. I create musical worlds that I hope that you dear listener, will also want to explore and live in for a few moments...or longer if you feel that way inclined.

Story behind the song
A 'salvaged' Big Sleep song from several years ago that was never fully realised or completed to our joint satisfaction. I've taken the bare bones of that song and re-worked it into what it is now. The original Big Sleep song was called, The Celestial Jester. The new song is a story of a 'Curious Cat'... aren't they all ! The ghost of Syd Barrett inhabits it now I feel. Lots more guitar interest in this arrangement. Oh and the addition of e-bow guitar has brought this into the realms of experimental Progressive rock. So, big thanks must go to my Big Sleep 'collaborator', Tony Webster, for some of his lyrics and 'High Ghost Vocals', in some of the 'chorus' sections.

Love this song, it has a captivating quirkiness and originality that makes it totally absorbing. Great lyrics and arrangement. The production has a real pro studio kick to it. Brilliant!!

Very nice. Trippy Trippy Mr Whippy. Reminds me a bit of Syd Barrett. We could one day enjoy covering this. Maybe. Maybe not, you've nailed it. So maybe not.
