This is my 'interpretation' of an absolute classic instrumental by The Shadows from 1960. A fabulously catchy tune from the pre-Beatles era! I've improvised on the main theme in the much slower 'ambient' end section.

Major Snagg is the invented name of the 'band' that perform all my own musical creations. (songs and instrumentals). I play guitars, bass, rudimentary keyboards, harmonica, and sing. Melody has always been important to me... lyrics and guitar solos have to say or communicate something. I create musical worlds that I hope that you dear listener, will also want to explore and live in for a few moments...or longer if you feel that way inclined.

Story behind the song
As you probably all know, I rather like the guitar instrumental music of The Shadows. This is a favourite of mine. It's a great tune to play. I was quite surprised to learn that Hank Marvin and Bruce Welsh hadn't actually composed this tune themselves.

Where to begin. Not 40 seconds into this (actually 41 but who's counting) I am immediately blown away. This is Great. We're Both Getting BETTER. The whole world will not know what it was that hit them from both sides of the Grand Old Atlantic. You know, when you mentioned Pannettone, it didn't register; I thought "what effect is THAT?" no, really, I did. Then I realized, you were commenting on the photo. I just snapped that in a supermarket. Slapped it up and called it the wallpaper. What a big fucking sound you have here. I am American, we say the 'f' word as though we'd invented it. Very Grand this work, Very Inspiring. God Bless!

Great tone & very authentic retro styling/expression. Definitely captured that Shadows sound and I like the way you've added your own touch of magic

You’ve nailed that Hank tone and played it perfectly! What pod go patch did you use ? Great tone for Hank . Love the samples too . Like the slow slightly psychedelic feel at the end ! Percussion and production top drawer too . Brilliant !
