Major Snagg is the invented name of the 'band' that perform all my own musical creations. (songs and instrumentals). I play guitars, bass, rudimentary keyboards, harmonica, and sing. Melody has always been important to me... lyrics and guitar solos have to say or communicate something. I create musical worlds that I hope that you dear listener, will also want to explore and live in for a few moments...or longer if you feel that way inclined.

Story behind the song
I heard a recent cover of this old song by a modern group called GA-20. I enjoyed it so much that I checked out the 1957 original by Lazy Lester. So, this is pretty much a cross between his version and their modern version. I've added slide guitar to give it a different bluesy element.
Lyrics
Tell me pretty baby, what have I done wrong? ooh...Tell me, tell me pretty baby, what have I done wrong? get all your rags together and bring your fine self home. I give you money, pretty baby, each and every day. ooh, I give you money, pretty baby, each and every day. you go down to the dream club and bars 'till the break of day... guitar and harmonica solos Tell me pretty baby, why do you like to lie? Tell me, tell me pretty baby, why do you like to lie? you goin' straight to the devil, the very first day you die... Tell me, tell me baby, just before I go, ooh, tell me, tell me baby, just before I go, if you got somebody else, I won't be back no more...

In some rare cases, a cover is better than an original. David I really like your version of this song. Keep up the good work!
