My 'Mock Live' version of a favourite song played by bands in the 1960s UK 'Blues Boom'. An imaginary Friday Night gig at The Station Tavern , Cleckheaton. Yep, it was loud in that smoke filled concert room upstairs...let that guitar feedback.

Major Snagg is the invented name of the 'band' that perform all my own musical creations. (songs and instrumentals). I play guitars, bass, rudimentary keyboards, harmonica, and sing. Melody has always been important to me... lyrics and guitar solos have to say or communicate something. I create musical worlds that I hope that you dear listener, will also want to explore and live in for a few moments...or longer if you feel that way inclined.

Story behind the song
Here's my re-creation of a 'Live' gig at The Station Tavern, Cleckheaton. A packed concert room upstairs. Soak up the atmosphere. Yep, it was very loud back then. How did we manage to haul those 4 x 12 speaker cabs up those narrow stairs?. Well, we did...and we carried them right back down afterwards. What tremendous days. To make this feel as much like a 'live' gig as possible, I recorded everything only as 1st. takes. No overdubs allowed. So, if I made a slight slip-up, it had to stay ... fortunately, this was a pretty awesome 'gig'.
Lyrics
Bright Lights, Big City ( recorded by Jimmy Reed) Bright lights, big city, gone to my baby's head bright lights, a big city, gone to my baby's head I tried to tell the woman, but she don't believe a word I said It's all right, pretty baby, gonna need my help someday all right, pretty baby, gonna need my help someday You're gonna wish you had to listened to some of those things I said, Bluesy guitar solo: Go ahead, pretty baby, go and knock yourself right out go ahead, pretty baby, go and knock yourself right out I still love you baby, 'cause you don't know what it's all about Bright lights, a big city, they went to my baby's head bright lights, the big city, they went to my baby's head, I tried to tell the woman, but she don't believe a word I said.
