Story behind the song
I wrote this while Hannah was in Saint Simons, Georgia. I wanted to write a song about being apart, so I sat down and started working on a melody. I spend 2 hours writing the melodies; longer then I've ever spent writing a song. I agonized over nearly every note and chord. There are a lot of harmonies added to the melody, because Hannah loves to sing harmonies, so it's special to her, and because the song is about two lovers that are apart. The song tells both of their stories, but they're together too, in love.
