A short guitar instrumental. A slightly melancholy look through rose-tinted glasses at the pre-Beatles era. A tune by an imaginary group on the Dancehall circuit of the early 1960's.

Major Snagg is the invented name of the 'band' that perform all my own musical creations. (songs and instrumentals). I play guitars, bass, rudimentary keyboards, harmonica, and sing. Melody has always been important to me... lyrics and guitar solos have to say or communicate something. I create musical worlds that I hope that you dear listener, will also want to explore and live in for a few moments...or longer if you feel that way inclined.

Story behind the song
This is a tribute to the many hard working instrumental beat groups of the pre- Beatles era who travelled round the UK from one Mecca Ballroom to another. Unable to afford a real Fender guitar, many of these guys had to make do with a 'Futurama' guitar or something similar. On this recording, I've used my Yamaha Pacifica to get those legendary 'Strat' tones.

Rodrica is right, bless her heart. Take us back to the good old days, and step on it, before whatever days these are bury the bloody lot of us! I see, I'd already heard and commented on this one. Hey Self. Go, Get, That, COFFEE.

What a great sound! This track takes us back to the "good old days", it definitely has a vibe that gets us daydreaming about the times when everything seemed so simple and straightforward. Excellent playing & production!

Yet again you’ve captured the sound and the vibe of that era . Great guitar and the tone is perfect . I can sympathise with the guitars most had to use must have been a nightmare to play and keep in tune ! So I take my hat off to them and how they managed to get such a great sound . My first guitar when I was 9 was a Kay looked a bit like a cheap strat but only 2 pups didn’t sound like a strat and you could drive a bus through the height of the action ! Certainly toughened my fingers up ! Great inspiration for this track and you’ve captured the spirit perfectly. Great work !
