To celebrate 50 years since the classic space rockers 'Hawkwind' recorded and released their classic live album "Space Ritual" at the Liverpool Stadium. Great times and amazing music. Thanks for the memories.

Introducing the greatest talent ever to emerge from the orange bedroom at my parents house. I play guitar like.... well, like a guy playing guitar. I tickle ivories. I twiddle on the computer. I sometimes enjoy beans on toast for breakfast. And in the cracks between the eating, sleeping, laughing, crying, working, breathing experience that is my life there sometimes slips out songs like these.

Story behind the song
In my late teens one of my favorite bands were Space Rock pioneers "Hawkwind." in 1972 they recorded their live album 'Space Ritual' partly at Liverpool Stadium. I was there. The lights, the wall of sound, the joss sticks , Dik Mik, Del Dettmarr, Lemmy, Nick Turner, Dave Brock and the delightful amazonian Stacia, alongside the lyrical influences of Michael Moorcock. A hefty mix of sci-fi craziness. Time once was I could survive that sort of show. Maybe not so much these days. But here's a tribute to great memories.

Time Once Was Copyright Adrian J Pratt January 10 2023 Empty space Only we can fill it Dimension in time Love to the limit Surrender to the inevitable Not an option to embrace The vastness of the cosmos Moments filled with grace Empires fall Ages die Hope will fail Kings will cry Secrets told Reveal our fear Time that was Now disappears Empires fall Ages die Hope will fail Kings will cry Secrets told Reveal our fear Time that was Now disappears
