Story behind the song
I wrote this song in the summer of 1987 when I was confused about an ex-girlfriend that I didn't know where we stood in our relationship. It's hard falling in love with someone at such a young age, because without life's lessons, mistakes will be made. Writing a song like this was theraputic, as it helped me deal with the situation. Moving forward, this was the formula on how so many of my songs were written.
