By now, The Lazarus Ladders, were moving away from their earlier 'swirly psychedelic' sound and their songs showed this. The 1960's were drawing to a shambles of a close. There was a feeling that the 'real world' was now looming over the decade.

Major Snagg is the invented name of the 'band' that perform all my own musical creations. (songs and instrumentals). I play guitars, bass, rudimentary keyboards, harmonica, and sing. Melody has always been important to me... lyrics and guitar solos have to say or communicate something. I create musical worlds that I hope that you dear listener, will also want to explore and live in for a few moments...or longer if you feel that way inclined.

Story behind the song
The final song on The Lazarus Ladders 2nd album...'Insert Coin To Continue'. The '60's Psychedelic Dream', seemed to be over or at least fading very quickly. The Lazarus Ladders were not spared from this either. The lyrics reflected this unsettling prospect. The fabric of the band was beginning to show signs of wear. Their record label and management were being typically vague about monies owed. Members of the band were making 'escape plans. Solo careers beckoned.
Lyrics
Bringing The Curtain Down The good times don't last forever, they're coming to an end. There's chaos round every corner, accelerating round the bend. Drove my car this morning, I was heading out of town, back there in the city, they're bringing the curtain down. This is the world that they created, by taking their hands off the wheel. this is the world that they created, by being asleep at the wheel. I woke up from a dream this morning, so colourful and full of sound, I was talking to a seagull, mystery and strangeness abounds. This is the world that they created, by taking their hands off the wheel. This is the ball that they deflated, by being asleep at the wheel. guitar solo So capture this moment, set it all in stone. We live in times when everyone...when everyone's all alone. Wake up from your daydream people, the last page hasn't been writ, Tomorrow is the future, do you want a part in it? This is the world that they created, by taking their hands off the wheel. This is the world they subjugated, by being asleep at the wheel. instrumental break-down. we're bringing the curtain down ... we're bringing the curtain down ...
