Story behind the song
For those who think their life is worse then it really is...welcome to reality
Lyrics
I feel fine
Don't ask me why
I don't mind
Living this life
(The Madman)
Welcome to the mind of only the most average teenagers
Where most of them happen to think that adults actually hate them
But that ain't the case coz most average tainted teenagers brains ain't
Statistically aged enough to make them capable of gaining
The knowledge laid for them… there for their own protection…
And so they play with fire… I'm not saying they're smoking cigarettes
Or that when they're older that they'll be holding a loaded weapon
I'm saying they won't know themselves and hold close their own blessings
And I'm hoping adolescents can make close bonds to this message
Notice so many young mental images is more like a mental illness
And not in the sense that they're retarded or "specially gifted"
I mean that they think that their own worth is only second to shit
And their depression is lifted quickly when ingesting a fifth
But again in the next day they’re sick… and not just from the effects
They’re sick in the head from hating their life and hating themselves
They ain’t thankful they’re scared to break out of their safe little shells
But they hate them as well for faking it… the tension climbs fast
So it’s great to rebel for real and be accepted like that
But who the fuck can do that? God, it’s not like I can
But I did… just like that… I stopped and saw the light man
An Axiom… It’s common sense… it’s not just from the confidence
It’s not wanting the opposite and not letting your calm get lost within
Your problems with your rocky bottom… like a voodoo curse
Nobody else will accept you until you do first
(Troubled Thought)
No matter how you’re trained it’s like these days are never the same
Especially if were altruistic then we feel we are to blame
Even though were not, it’s just a mind set flowing from our veins
Then into our brains, it’s all the same no need to feel ashamed
Coz right when you say it, that you’re life is in the pits
A knife could slice those wrists and change up all that now exists
It’s a bitch…the way depression molds the life of hundreds
I look down and wonder if you had fought…would you have plundered
And I wish man I wish you could just see your life exists
It looks humbly down upon you with no greed nor arrogance
What your parents did… man? There ain’t nothing wrong with that
Parents are just parents it’s apparent… so bond with that
So what is it that makes you think that your life is worse then all the rest?
It hurts not to be the best but you got to learn to deal with stress
You’re not alone don’t panic I’ve been thinking of those who have it
Our true self’s on the table but are we really suppose to grab it?
We might get slapped on the wrists but it’s a risk we have to manage
The trick is not to damage our minds anymore then we have god dammit
Please excuse me if I’ve made any judgements or false connections
But the lessons I’m stressin’ is to love it…this self reflection
Its best to just accept who you are and misplace all neglection
To yourself and all whose present…not to tell them you’re a peasant
Of life…you might regret the past… when you lie awake one night
But maybe I’ve failed on this attempt…to save your life
