Aaron Martin

Aaron Martin is a Canadian music producer of novelty music.

was born on January 6, 1984 in Miramichi City, New Brunswick, Canada where he resided until adulthood. As a student of elementary and high-school, he excelled in his studies and was an honor student six years in a row from 1996-2001 while earning perfect attendance in 8 of the 12 grades. Salutatorian of his graduation class and prom king, Martin left his hometown to attend university and study Psychology. Being the recipient of thousands of dollars worth of scholarships and bursaries, Martin's first year of tuition and some of his second would be free. As a youth, Aaron was adept in playing the keyboard, harmonica, accordion and 12-string acoustic guitar and often wrote music while recording it on a cheap tape recorder. Though his equipment was simple, it would grow in him an inspiration to eventually create music on a more professional-like scale. He played acoustic guitar for his Sunday church band as well as his youth group band, giving him first hand experience of live performing. Over time he did a few vocal performances in his high-school before eventually seeing his own music reach the airwaves. In his latter years of high school, Martin discovered the art of creating music with a computer and took the opportunity to experience and learn as much as he could about this technological revolution. At the start of university, he had acquired enough technology and skill and composed on a regular basis while evolving his style over time. Near the beginning of 2004, he and his music had been discovered by a local radio show host who invited him to be a guest. Aaron accepted, and this would become the first time his music was broadcasted on the radio, making the track the first song aired. Aaron released his first album, , here on SoundClick on December 17, 2004, which was a short instrumental collection. Aaron is currently producing his second album, to be titled . The album will be Aaron's singing debut, and the style will be more Pop oriented than his previous LP. It's my name. I'm just keeping it down to earth. I don't play live, but if my popularity ever becomes great enough, I would most likely start performing in local venues. I think that the Internet has revolutionized the industry in that it allows anyone who's able to maintain a simple website to promote their material, without the need to seek and be accepted by any record label. If I was offered a deal from a reputable label, even if it was a fairly small label, I would probably accept it. - - The instrumental track becomes Aaron's first song to be played on the radio. - - Aaron releases his first album, a 9-track instrumental collection titled . My method of writing music is likely different than that of many other writers. I don't try to force myself to create new ideas and sounds, but rather I wait for an idea to come to me, which would usually happen in the most unexpected time or location, such as waiting for a bus or taking a shower. Of course, this can be an awkward way to write, since I would have to somehow memorize the idea until I am able to compose it, and that might be several hours away from happening. I don't listen to other artists' work for inspiration, nor do I care if my style sounds like the most popular artists of the day. In terms of my style, there's really only 2 sounds I generally strive for: something fast, catchy, and feel-good with emphasis on rhythm, or something slow and beautiful involving lots of instruments and emphasis on harmony. I don't tour anywhere, so my favorite spot would of course be my home, Charlottetown. All my music is programmed into a computer, meaning that no instruments are ever recorded playing my songs. My entire "studio" is nothing more than a PC with a sequencer and gigabytes of sampled instruments.
