Story behind the song
Going to a building is an assembly but we are the church and can assemble as often as possible but what good is assembly if we are not changed by it and growing from it? Is it for traditions sake? It will not save us. Tradition is good but it is secondary to that of the heart. Assembly because Tradition means nothing. But deep knows deep and communion can occur by and in the Spirit. I also struggle with traditions or lack thereof and set routines that bring comfort but in JESUS (the secret place of the Most High) we grow daily. Acts 2:46-47. Also 1 Corinthians 12:27.
Lyrics
Lyrics: Chatter about the sinner man.... Singing Sitting here (In a church building) I come to pray Knowing that There's another way (church is not just a building it is the people) And so it all comes down To what you (the teachers) say (have taught us) Knowing here is NOT the place But why reveal the space (not a physical place) Knowing here we come to pray (by tradition) Most every day (every Saturday or Sunday or Friday or Wednesday night)?
