I love writing songs that capture strong feelings I’ve had about a time, person or place, and that wrap you in those feelings with a sumptuous arrangement and much to surprise the ear. I’m drawn to seductive rhythms and sophisticated chords, and themes of longing, carnality and joy. I want my listeners to be astonished!

Story behind the song
This was originally a Christmas song but my ex thought the music deserved a better lyric and suggested BREAK MY HEART as a title. I liked it, but I didnt like the rubato way that some of his students performed the song in cabaret. So I thought Why couldnt this be a dance track? That gave me the idea for a show about a rock diva whose daughter is a closet disco diva.
