TESTIMONY from Erin Reilly: The two bible verses this song is inspired by were anchors for me this year. As I was putting the final touches into the song this month, I got really sick, and it lasted a multiple weeks. The third week it worsened to the point where I was in the ER 3 separate nights that week, waking up to feeling like the life was being sucked out of me, unable to breathe and completely sleep deprived. Doctors didn't know what was wrong with me and couldn't help at all. I finally had enough and prayed out loudly to God, rebuked satan and the attack on my body and my house and I fasted for full recovery. The night I prayed and fasted I felt completely better and was able to sleep. Jesus is the ultimate healer. He can do what doctors can't. Through it all I kept my mind on Him, and He got me through it. Every time I went to the ER, my pastor texted me Philippians 4:8. He had no idea I was working on a song about that very verse. God's timing is perfect and His word is living and active. As this world is becoming darker by the minute, we have one hope and that is in Jesus Christ. It is true that when you set your mind on His kingdom, God will make a way in everything: every loss, every struggle, every mind battle, every sickness. Even more so, Jesus makes a way for us to escape hell in eternity after this life when we surrender to Him and live our lives set apart for Him. We must set our minds on the God's kingdom above, for this life and everything in it is temporary, but the Lord and His word remains forever.
Satan may not have wanted me to finish this song, but by the grace of God I overcame, and here it is! I hope it blesses and encourages you.
