Story behind the song
This was written during Caedmon's first lent. Having grown up Baptist, he never celebrated lent untill 1988 when he gave up Non-Euclidean Geometry.
Lyrics
Ordinarily, I'd just feel her myself, but until this lent stuff blows over, if she wants me to know how she feels, she's just gonna have to tell.
