I saw the fire in her eyes

Before her health took a dive
And her faith and hope fell apart
Then all I had here was time

So I tried to be her saviour
But it was always out of reach
As I tried to reassemble all of her pieces
Back the way they ought to be
Like a thorn in my side

Like a blind-sided guide
Who couldnt see from the start

Yet we all carry on
And I tried to be her healer
And to give her what she needs
And it used up everything I had
Now Ive nothing left back here for me
So now she tries to be my saviour
