Story behind the song
Circa 1986 - I spent several nights with my Andalusian lover, Paloma, in the mountains of Slovenia, sleeping under the stars, waking up in a meadow with wildflowers and wild strawberries, living on bread, cheese, and wine, swimming in a stream. I broke her heart when I left Europe, and she broke mine when I returned.
Lyrics
All my heart
All my soul
All the parts of me I cant control
All my sweat
All my tears
I cant let go of you nor bring you near
We swam streams
We drank wine
And made love in meadows of sunshine
Just one dream
Just one time
Take me to meadows of sunshine
We were free in a field of sunshine
All my blood
All my bones
Prayin for a flood to take me home
From my skin
To my core
Living in a world that is no more
We swam streams
We drank wine
And made love in meadows of sunshine
Just one dream
Just one time
Take me to meadows of sunshine
We were free in a field of sunshine
We danced in the question
At the intersection
Of forever and now
I claimed to have virtue
Im ashamed that I hurt you
And let the wind scatter our vows
All my heart
All my soul
All the parts of me I cant control
All my sweat
All my tears
I cant let go of you nor bring you near
We swam streams
We drank wine
And made love in meadows of sunshine
Just one dream
One more time
Take me to meadows of sunshine
Take me to meadows of sunshine
Shell be in the glow of sunshine
