A straight ahead British old school, Rhythm & Blues song. I've done this in a 'Pub Rock' style...another of my 'Mock Live' recordings.

Major Snagg is the invented name of the 'band' that perform all my own musical creations. (songs and instrumentals). I play guitars, bass, rudimentary keyboards, harmonica, and sing. Melody has always been important to me... lyrics and guitar solos have to say or communicate something. I create musical worlds that I hope that you dear listener, will also want to explore and live in for a few moments...or longer if you feel that way inclined.

Story behind the song
I first heard this on The Pretty Things debut LP. I had a lot of fun playing the harmonica on this neat little blues song.
Lyrics
Well I used to be simple living country-boy Didn't even know the time of day Till I bought a ticket on a southbound train Got my blues, I was going to stay Big city, big city, Well you ain't quite big enough for me I used to go out fishing on a sunny day Catch myself a trout or two But there are bigger fish in a city pool I should know cause I got myself you Big city, big city, Yeah you ain't quite big enough for me I soon forgot the things my mother told me about being good and everything For there are things in the city pool Cause I know 'cause I got myself used

Very impressive! Love the harmonica, excellent vocals, superb production and first class guitar work. Nailed it good & proper! :))
