I have been writing from the time I could play my guitar at 12 years old, I'm 72 now and for the last few years I've been writing Christian music.
I'm a good ole boy from Georgia. In the early 70's I started a cover band, The Re-Creation. We played local gigs for several years. We all started having families and other jobs paid a lot more, so we gave up on music. I've dabbled in song writing over the years. I've been a Christian for a long time but, and as I've gotten older, I feel I have a calling from God to write Christian music. There are enough of my old lady done left with my dog songs. I'm sharing the good news of Jesus and His plan for salvation to an increasingly damaged world. My hash tag is #JesusLovesYou The love of Jesus comes before everything else.

Lyrics
Our broken heart 2020 By Donnie Priest/August 76 Music Sons and daughters are a dying Mothers and fathers are a crying Sometimes it's so hard to forgive Our cities are a burning Emotions are a churning Is this how we choose to live? (chrous) The people are calling out to God Gives us strength through this pain Through this battle between evil and good As we call out in Jesus name Try to love our fellow man Do our best to understand And dry the tears Of our broken hearts False profits are a preaching Their lies they're a teaching How long can this evil last? With prayer we are a coping We're all still a hoping That first stone we refuse to cast (chrous) The people are calling out to God Gives us strength through this pain Through this battle between evil and good As we call out in Jesus name Try to love our fellow man Do our best to understand And dry the tears Of our broken hearts (bridge) Gods word is so clear Ill walk in the valley with no fear A new day is a coming When well go a running By Jesus side we will stand Our voices we're a raising Our Savior were a praising Come my brother, take my hand (outro) All the people call out to God You helped us through this pain We won the battle between evil and good We thank you in Jesus name We will love our fellow man Now that we understand And you dried the tears Of our broken hearts
