Story behind the song
This is a song about not seing someone for a long time and playing catch-up with them, trying to figure out what they are really telling you. I wrote the lyrics for this song about my good friend, Melissa Dellos (Swetish), who I had just gotten back in touch with. I have written many songs for Missy, unfortunately she was killed in an automobile accident before the CD was completed and she never heard this song. * The CD is called "Third Wish" and the three wishes described in the lift were a reference to the original name of the band. Also, The "Wind though the chimes, hushed by time, now awoken" line is referenced at the beginning of a later Missy song "Without A Net" from my solo CD "Deep Sky," where you hear chimes ringing and then being being grabbed in a fist (to signify the loss of her beautiful light).
