Mrcorbett is the musical alter ego of English Singer-Songwriter Warren Jenks, Mrcorbett is a quirky lyrical chap who loves to dabble in many styles of music.
Born few many moons ago, I've been writing songs since i was a wee nipper but only got brave enough to let others hear them when I was old enough not to worry if they were any good, luckily I've sold quite a few since and have performed live over a thousand times. What's even more amazing is that I never get bored of making up some new ones and trying them out on your fine ears! Story behind the song
I've always wanted to do a song with made up words a la Stanley Unwin, and this is my attempt! It actually started life as a slow piano ballad, but wasn't doing it for me, so I started messing about with its tempo and also some synth patches on my fave Wavestation, and this song finally sparked into life. One of the few songs i've ever done that has no Bass, I was aiming for that classic early '80s tinny production sound and thus left it very sparse. Had great fun making this track and I hope you like it. It will feature on my 2021 Mrcorbett Album 'Strawberry Lives' which is out on all the major sites on 15th March.
