Musician and song writer in Seattle, Washington.
For as long as I can remember, music has been a passion of mine. While playing for a live audience is great fun (most of the time), I've always had a special interest in recording -- both the technology and the process itself. These days I don't play gigs any more, but I enjoy writing and recording music for others to hear online. Hopefully, you'll find something you like here. Don't forget to look at the individual song pages for lyrics and information about my collaborators. Thanks for visiting.

Story behind the song
In the 100+ years since the sinking of the Titanic, countless books, movies, and television shows have explored those fateful events. This song tells the story of the musicians who fulfilled their duty at the risk of their own lives. Historians tell us that none survived that night.
Lyrics
A musician by training, a busker by trade, I played to put coins in my case I learned to keep smiling and humor the crowd no matter the time or the place Then I got me a job with the good Brothers Black and a post on a fabulous ship All polished mahogany, marble, and brass while the band goes along for the trip We perform for the guests in the grand dining hall, serenade the fine ladies at tea We play for the lovers come out for a stroll and a whiff of the wide open sea Then we play where the businessmen smoke their cigars and practice their casual lies We play where the whisky and tips flow free, we play for the rich men's wives Come and play us a lively tune, boys, gingery and spry A favorite song to sing along and lift our spirits high On the fourth night out I lay in my bunk, scarce had I closed my eyes The mate bursts in, get up boys he cries, the ship she's been gashed by the ice You're needed up above, he says, to keep the passengers calm Distract them from their mortal fears while we haul the lifeboats down So we grab our fiddles and grab our bows, pull on our coats and our hats And we climb the stair for the final time, our loved ones full in our hearts We will play 'em a lively tune, boys, gingery and spry A favorite song to sing along and lift their spirits high
