Keith Cook was the guitarist for the protopunk band Debris with whom he was included in a history exhibit covering the notable rock and rollers from their home
Awhile back I ended up with Leon Russell's drum machine.
I wrote 20 songs around everything left on it and there were 9 that he arranged which are denoted by the number he saved them on the machine as being included in the title, for example (Song 01).
I also included alternate versions of those 9 songs as instrumentals.
Lyrics
Is it true were walking on thin air on the top of the world
With this God forsaken Gamble
turn of phrase in a vow
Chasing after a mirage
Of reason
Astray in a charade
Faint of heart
So far away from the beginning
Burned the hash out
It sounded to so cliche
Astray in a charade
Thoughts of leaving disappear
Convictions dematerialize
Whenever I look into your eyes
It gets harder the more I try To comprehend the cause
We hang on
Astray in a charade
We could turn over a new leaf
But all the trees are evergreens
Astray in a charade
Its almost the end of this masquerade
