General X is a very gifted and innovative recording artist/engineer,producer,musician,and songwriter. The owner and operator of "General X Records" an independent record lable out of Oakland California, where he produces,manufactures,and distributes his original music with a positive message in all of his songs.He has toured with Kurtis Blow, and worked with such artist and groups such as ConFunkshun,Ager Man"3XCrazy",Suga-T "E-40's" Sista,Sista from "The Click""Wayne Sanders From The "Barkays" and many more.Currently playing drums/percussion,and vocals for the live band "Private Reserve" a local R&B group, also out of Oakland. With 10's of thousands of CD's sold in the Bay Area alone and all across the country General X is truly leaving his mark on the map. General X has created a house hold name for himself in the hood and it's all good. Performing at various venues is what General X does. From churches to festivals to the clubs General X does it all. Creates his own graphics and does his own promotional campaigning. "General X Records", originally "Positive Forces Music" was founded in 1996. The name was changed to "God's Town Records" in 2008 and then recently in 2010 it became "General X Records". General X is mostly known for doing Gospel Rap but don't get it twisted General X's style goes far beyond only doing Gospel Music .He started out playing drums at the early age of 5 years old. Becoming a very skilled Drummer by the time he was in Jr. High School. He was already playing in clubs by the 9th grade playing all styles of music, mostly Latin Jazz,Funk,Rock,Soul & Pop Music. You can hear all of these styles in the General X Music Of today, while Hip Hop and Gospel style has also been added. Recently General X attended The "Art Institute Of California SF" where he received training in Audio Production. With a true passion for what he does, General X will surely continue to put out quality music with a positive message.
