Story behind the song
The current release 'JOY OF THE LORD' is the 11th release from the HOLY NATION 12 song compilation!
Scriptural references for the 'JOY OF THE LORD' song are primarily based upon Isaiah 61:1-3, Nehemiah 10:8...
According to Luke 4:16-30, when LORD Jesus of Nazareth went into the synagogue on the Sabbath day, stood up and read the passage of Isaiah 61:1, and the first phrase of Isaiah 61:2, Luke 4:28-30 reveals that all those in the synagogue, when they heard these things, were filled with wrath, and rose up and thrust Him out of the city; and they led Him to the brow of the hill on which their city was built, that they might throw Him down over the cliff. Then passing through the midst of them, He went His way." Amen
Sent on Divine assignment, LORD Jesus, The Matthew 28:18-20/Acts 26:18 Commissioner who, through His Matthew 1:1-25 virgin birth, John 14:30 sinless life, Isaiah 53:5 shedding of precious Blood, John 19:30-34 death, John 19:38-42 burial, John 20:1-17 resurrection, Acts 1:9 ascension back into Heaven, and Acts 1:11/Acts 3:19-21 promise to come back again, kicked off the preliminaries of the Matthew 24:14/Matthew 28:18-20 movement after He was empowered by passing the tests of Luke 4:2-13.
Likewise, after being discipled, tested and empowered by the baptism of the Holy Ghost, those of us who are sent by GOD with Divine assignments realize that the transcending text our Chief Mentor declared in Isaiah 61 is still in the process of being fulfilled.
As we continue in the path of the leading of Holy Ghost, it is written, according to Isaiah 61:1-3, "The Spirit of The LORD GOD is upon me, because The LORD has anointed me to preach good tidings to the poor; He has sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of the prison to those who are bound; To proclaim the acceptable year of The LORD, and the day of vengeance of our GOD; To comfort all who mourn, to console those who mourn in Zion, to give them beauty for ashes, the oil of joy for mourning, the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness; That they may be called Trees of Righteousness, The planting of The LORD, that He may be glorified..."
1 Corinthians 15:58, "...Therefore, Brothers and Sisters in Christ, be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of The LORD, knowing that your labor is not in vain in The LORD."
Philippians 1:6(NLT), "...And I am certain that GOD, who began the good work within you, will continue His work until it is finally finished on the day when Christ Jesus returns."
