This is the piece to follow "The Message" [ https://www.soundclick.com/music/songInfo.cfm?songID=7358570 ] in the "Space Opera." Our hero has been getting these prophetic but cryptic "messages" in his head and trying to figure out why he is so lucky

Hopefully intelligent, upbeat, pop rock - plus multiple other genres and rabbit holes I enter
The band is ME - plus any collaborators I can convince to come along for the ride. I love the process of song writing and production - I hope some others get some enjoyments - or chuckles out of these tunes.

Story behind the song
The Message is the story of a man that receives an interstellar message, transmitted from a dying planet that portends bad things for much of the universe including Earth. He resists, but ultimately succumbs to act on this (ala Moses or Noah). He warns and gathers people and deals with the difficulties and uncertainties of interstellar travel. And once reaching the planet, massive adaptations and transformations occur.
Lyrics
Why me? (The Message, Part II) Words & Music by Ron Tintner 2020, ASCAP Over and over I see in my head A sound of unearthly design A pulsatile, crystalline, shimmering tone But with logic and meaning inside Its clearly a message, but what does it mean An omen, a puzzle, a sign? Stronger and stronger, day after day Possessing my thoughts and my time Why me? Of all the people on earth Why me? Without title or station by birth Why me? I never volunteered Why me? Why me? Why me? I query discretely my famly and friends I search my resources on-line No one acknowledges hearing or seeing The things going on in my mind I dare not consult doctors or counselors Theyd lock me up in a cell But still I believe that the message has meaning Im not just insane or unwell Why me? Of all the people on earth Why me? Without title or station by birth Why me? I never volunteered Why me? Why me? Why me? Break: The meaning has crystallized, I know my task To carry the message sent from the past To the ends of the earth To the ends of the sky Till the end of the days of my life
