Todd Pronovost and Stephane Mallette shared duties as bass players for Samsara and Mike Angerillo has become the new drummer. 3 new singles have been launched including Just a Criminal, Single and Out Of The Blue! Permanent Damage (the third album) by SAMSARA and Sounds of Absolute Power, (the second album) was produced by Jean-Francois Mace assisted by Todd Pronovost and features songs that are meant to be colorful and representative of the different direction Samsara can take with their chaos of emotions. Always intense, always lively, always as dirty and proud of it. Heavy and Slow and melodic. Fast, Funky and Furious. You can expect Samsara to present themselves in many forms. 2018 is a big year for Canada. legalization is set for October so Samsara has decided to release a Pot Anthem to celebrate this moment in Canadian history. Fry-Day was written in Lake Louise in July 1993 in Maude Tousin's room at the Chateau lake Louise living quarters. It's a Post-Punk rock anthem about the freedom to enjoy cannabis recreatively. It is meant to be a bit of a Rock / Reggae novelty song that plays heavy on stereotypes. A good song to dance and party too. We hope you will enjoy it for the years to come as a classic in it's genre. It will be featured on the new album "Sounds of Absolute Power" self produced by Samsara after having worked with Kevin Jardine of Uplift Productions for the first album "Heart Set on Fire". Produced by Jean-Francois Mace and assisted by Todd Pronovost, the new album is a commitment to doing things their way without any outside influences tainting the intended message. SAMSARA has released a 7 song LP named "Heart Set on fire" on July 17, 2017 produced by Kevin Jardine of Uplift Studio Productions in Ville Emard, Montreal. This also includes three worldwide record deals with Divine Recordings (Priority Records), MCA Records, Rocket Science and currently The ILS Group. He has worked with Grammy and Juno award winning artists in his studio in Montreal along with having radio singles chart in both Canada and the US of A. Kevin has worked with some of the best in the music business such as Sharon Osbourne, Thom Panunzio (Geffen Records), Arnold Lanni (producer), Troy Van Leeuwen (QOTSA/producer) and Jason Bieler (producer). A Gibson SG Special with a DiMarzio Super Distortion (think Ace Frehley) through a Soldano is used on leads. A Gibson Hummingbird for acoustic tracks. Dave's bass is recorded with a 1980's Fender Precision through an Ampeg amp. Can't wait to hear the finished product.
