I like soundscapes, loops and atmospheres. My passion has always been aimed at coupling music with visual works and one such project landed me in the Cannes Film Festival. I love working with vocal samples and sound textures to create aural 3D paintings. My mixes are rough masters that require professional mastering (not my thing).
Story behind the song
I had this instrumental track that I thought could be turned into a vocal track, perhaps even a pop song. I reached out to Icelandic vocalist/songwriter Embla Ingvaldsdottir who hammered together a vocal melody and lyrics - the message is anti-drug as I believe she lost a close friend to that demon shortly before we met and wished she could have saved him/her. We recorded it straight into a computer at 124bpm to finish it in a studio later, but never got around to it (hence the EQ issues). The track is mixed using headphones and may be bass heavy if played through speakers. It would be great to put this in the hands of professional artists and/or producers (e.g. Kelly Clarkson, Pink).
