Story behind the song
'Worse things happens at Sea' as become a family phrase to put minor tribulations into perspective. When it developed into a lyric and needed to be set to music I was drawn to the feel of the hymn 'for those in peril on the sea'- and indeed the ending slips into the hymn tune.
