Story behind the song
Its such a trajedy when a Christian marriage breaks up. There is really no excuse for it. Phrases like "I just can't forgive him," "I can't live with this person any longer,"I can't break off this affair" are all phrases used to justify the tearing assunder of what God has joined together... however none of these are Biblical excuses. When they say I can't what they are really saying is "I won't" because they don't choose to say "With the help of God, I will!" In not relying on God they forfeit the blessing God has in store for them Jeremiah 29:11, Malachi 2:13-16, 1 Corinthians 7:10-14 Psalm 112,1 Corinthians 6:9.
This song is dedicated to those who are standing for their marriage, stand strong in the Lord. it is also dedicated to those who have fallen into the same trap Eve fell into (Gen. 3:6) Proverbs 14:12 reads "There is a way that seems right to a man, but in the end it leads to death." Trust God. Let God heal your marriage and change the heart you think cannot be changed.
