A cover of a great song from 1964 by 'The Merseybeats'. They were a very successful group that surfed that wave of Liverpool based UK pop. This includes elements of Hank Marvin in the intro riff. Something that attracted me to it

Major Snagg is the invented name of the 'band' that perform all my own musical creations. (songs and instrumentals). I play guitars, bass, rudimentary keyboards, harmonica, and sing. Melody has always been important to me... lyrics and guitar solos have to say or communicate something. I create musical worlds that I hope that you dear listener, will also want to explore and live in for a few moments...or longer if you feel that way inclined.

Story behind the song
I remember this from way back. Whilst looking on Youtube about the Liverpool pop explosion, I came across this gem and just had to have a go at recording a cover of it. It all came together quite quickly once I got started as it's a relatively simple song.

Oh yeah! Nice cover. Love the vox. Great guitar playing. Haven't hear of them but a nice typical Brit sound. Thanks for the heads up

Excellent cover!! I think you've really captured their sound and style here. With the Beatles and Gerry & the Pacemakers being around, the Merseybeats always seemed to get overlooked, but they were a great band. Glad you revisited one of their songs - what a blast from the past!
