Contemporary classical, new age, acoustic piano music AND SONGS!

I didnt discover I could write music until I was nearly forty. Those were my road warrior days, and there was a hotel in Atlanta with a piano in the atrium where I used to give impromptu concerts. My musical training was as a classical pianist, and I thought of my music then as being in that genre (although they were very popular. People used to hang off the balconies in the evening listening to me play).. When I retired, I started to write novels. When I published the first one, I mentioned in the biography that I was also a composer. On a whim, I recorded some of my music and sent it to the editor. Shes a big rock fan, but she loved my soothing piano music. So, here are some pieces for you to (hopefully) enjoy. You can find my novels, also, under my pen name (W Richard St. James) at clublighthousepublishing.com . Youll see that the music may be mellow, but the books are very spicy!

You know that the desert can be hot this time of year.

You've made wine from water, but now here's the deal.

I'm ready to help you make some bread from these stones. 

But Jesus said Man does not live by bread alone. 

Well I'm sorry that you said that, things would be so much better, 
if we could find a way that we could work together. 

You have to confess, 
the world is a mess. 

But we can fix it now.

Let's go up to the mountains, it's way too hot out here. 
Come take a look around you, there's nothing you should fear. 

These are all my dominions, they're a pretty sorry sight.  
But if I put you in as king you'd surely set things right. 

But Jesus said My kingdom is not one of might. 

Well I'm sorry that you said that, but if you've got a mission, 
then I'm just the guy to help you start a religion. 

You have to confess 
a preacher has to impress. 

But we can do it now. 
I can show you how.
And all I need from you is just one little bow. 

If you want to be a preacher, you've got to get some buzz on. 
You know that Messiahs are just a dime a dozen.
 
Lets go to the temple, right up to the summit, 
then you can jump down and God will save you from the plummet. 

But Jesus said No thank you, 
my work here isn't done yet. 

Well Jesus was tired now and this was getting old. 
He turned to the Devil, Now do what you were told. 

Stop trying to bind me,
and get thee behind me!
 
Behind you like this? 
The Devil gave him a kiss. 

I'll stay right behind you 
just to remind you 

of all you have forsaken 
on the path that you have taken.

But you can break your vow. 
I can show you how. 
And all I need from you is just one little bow. 

Then angels came to Jesus. 
They seemed so sweet and pure. 
He hoped they were from heaven, 
but how could he be sure? 

The angels came to save him. 
He journeyed on his way. 
But was the Devil with him? 
Would they meet again some day?
