Story behind the song
Story about a man walking along a river and meeting an older man who was fishing and striking up a conversation with him. The old man explains that life is like fishing, you have to throw your line in and see what you get. You can't be impatient or else you'll never know what you could've gotten had you waited it out and had faith. Also to count you're joys!!
Lyrics
Took a walk bt the river, to find some peace Swirling thoughts and emotions inside of me I saw an old man fishing for quite some time He started talking to me while he cast his line He said life is just like fishing boy You've gotta throw your line in and count your joys You've got to settle in and have patience and faith He said, All you've ever dreamed of can be yours, God will give you chances and open doors As he spoke a fish had pulled his line He reeled it in and broke into a smile, and said, Life is just like fishing boy You've gotta throw you line in and count your joys, You gotta settle in and have patience and faith
