(Dark)folk/acoustic
My name is Cory Parkhurst. I hail from Raleigh, North Carolina. I love all sorts of music from Bill Monroe to Black Sabbath. Had a rock band called Masses of Black. We played covers and originals. Shifted back to acoustic music because I like it's rawness, subtleness, and it's soul. Most of the time, what you see is what you get. My music seems to be classified as "dark folk". I also do traditional songs as well as other things.

Story behind the song
It's a story about depression and how someone might feel. Easy to relate to. It's human to feel this way sometimes and life isn't always so grand. You can't have light without the dark.
