Norm Stinson has been playing guitar and singing since he was a kid. His family and friends have been the only ones who knew. Only about a year ago did he begin to come out of his shell and play in front of “strangers” at open mics and coffee shops. Norm has been well received by his peers. Norm enjoys playing music, but never sacrifices life’s other rewards, such as family and friends. He has a unique balance in his life and it shows in his music. Norm’s musical style is quite diverse. His original songs vary from roots rock to roots country/blues. He really enjoys covering songs from a wide variety of artist. From the Allman Brothers to The Cure. From Hank Williams to Elvis Costello. Throw in some Neil Young, Chris Issak, Rod Stewart, and The Dixie Chicks, and soon you’ll be tapping your toes and singin’ along.

Lyrics
The Older I Get the Better I Used To Be By Norm Stinson When I was young I could climb any tree I could run like the wind through the leaves. I’d swim like a fish and jump like a frog. I could split any log. The women I’ve loved and the hearts that I took. I left a scar on their young hearts I broke. So many sad songs have been written about The broken hearts of the girls as they pout. The older I get the better I used to be. Years have taken their toll on me. I used to jump off rocks into water so deep I could fish like a bear in the canyons so steep Now I just surf the net and watch TV The older I get, the better I used to be. Now that I’m older I still do believe There’s nothing that I can’t achieve. But just as I try doing something extreme Reality hits me and I’m knocked to my knees. The broken bones don’t heal as fast. But when I was young I never fell on my ass You hear my stories you better believe The older I get, the better I used to be The older I get the better I used to be. Years have taken their toll on me. I used to jump off rocks into water so deep I could fish like a bear in the canyons so steep Now I just surf the net and watch TV The older I get, the better I used to be.
