In my 5th collection of songs, I was trying to crank out a bunch of pieces in a hurry - and this is the case, where a good song just floated down onto the paper perfect; funny, melodramatic, sentimental, forceful, lifting, lonely and self-perpetuating. I've been unable to improve the lyric much since.
This is the short Take 4 which soon broke down and the middle and end of Take 2 which had a bad start. The last and best take was Take #6 but like this it has a few glitches in it. I need to do a new mix of it but since I can't face doing that now, here are two takes, spliced together, for a "Demo" of the song.
