Story behind the song
Just another personal, pensive reflection from my time long ago in a land far, far away. This one was part of a (6) song concept project called Full Circle....recorded in 1984.
Lyrics
Verse 1 Children....what's today, tiny Soldiers masquerade. I feel it deeply when I see them laughing as they aim Toy guns...it's OK, it keeps them entertained. One more generation thinking it's a game. Boy guns don't tell the truth no matter how they're played. Look back....do you recall? There was no parades. Chorus I never wanted praise anyway. I never wanted praise anyway. Lead Break I never wanted praise anyway. I never wanted praise anyway. Verse 2 Children....what's today, tiny Soldiers masquerade. I feel it deeply when I see them laughing as they aim Boy guns don't tell the truth no matter how they're played. Look back....do you recall? There was no parades. Chorus I never wanted praise anyway. I never wanted praise anyway.
