Putian prayed St. Theresa of the Child Jesus for a special favor. And He asked for a sign. God granted it, through St. Theresa, and a helper-nurse. God granted his favors. Fr. Putigan spread the devotion for the French saint--born Marie Françoise-Thérèse Martin. She lived between January 2, 1873 to 30 September 30th,1897. A French Catholic Discalced Carmelite nun, St. Theresa was also known as Little Flower of Jesus. The 24 Glory Bes to the Father Almighty represent the 24 years of St Theresa of Lisieux . Some pray the Glory Be is said (24 times) daily for nine days, in thanksgiving for all the blessings and favours given to to during her life's 24 years. Starting the novena each day with: Holy Trinity, God the Father, God the Son, and God, the Holy Spirit, I thank Thee for all the blessings and favours Thou hast showered upon the soul of Thy servant Therese of the Child Jesus, during the 24 years she spent here on earth, and in consideration of the merits of this Thy most beloved saint, I beseech Thee to grant me this favour, if it is in accordance with Thy most Holy Will and is not an obstacle to my salvation. Following each Glory Bes, include: Saint Therese of the Child Jesus, pray for us. Though appropo at any time, some devotees concentrate the prayers from the 9th to the 17th each month, to unite ink a prayer circle with the intentions of theirs and others around the world ... Christ's exact words to Saint Faustina stating his specific call: (fair use) At three oclock, implore My mercy, especially for sinners; and, if only for a brief moment, immerse yourself in My Passion, particularly in My abandonment at the moment of agony. This is the hour of great mercy In this hour, I will refuse nothing to the soul that makes a request of Me in virtue of My Passion. (Diary, 1320) As often as you hear the clock strike the third hour, immerse yourself completely in My mercy, adoring and glorifying it; invoke its omnipotence for the whole world, and particularly for poor sinners; for at that moment mercy was opened wide for every soul.
