The Sparrows of Paris is a jazz-musette band headed by Parisian singer Carolyn Saint-Pé. They are known as Les Moineaux de Paris by their francophone fans
The Sparrows of Paris’ repertoire includes vintage french chansons from the 1920s to 50s as well as the authentic musette of the 1930s and 40s as played by Django Reinhardt, Gus Viseur, Emile Prud’Homme, the Péguri brothers, Emile Vacher, Tony Murena and other great accordionists and jazz-musette musicians of the authentic musette music genre. The Sparrows of Paris continue the tradition of the bal musette, the vintage french jazz-musette social dance of the beginning of the 20th century which is enjoying a revival. The Sparrows of Paris also write their own songs in the same retro style

Story behind the song
in June 2016 UK citizens (as well as commonwealth citizen living in the UK, however British citizens living in the EU and long term EU residents in UK were not given a vote) voted to leave the European Union. Brexit is a short portmanteau of British exit from the European Union. This is a song on the effect of the vote on Europeans living in the UK.
