A charismatic, eccentric, and funny rhyme sayer and original producer, music drawn from everything I don't like. Described by one as an "underground hip-rock legend" Influenced by all kinds of modern rock and hip-hop, but mostly alternative. Member of REBELoution with Kadavir
Story behind the song
As in the intro, this is about all the fuss about my return afdter all this time, and reception of my music. i tried to giver this a hardcore, sarcastic attitude, similar to "Who's The Man" and "Ther Mystery", an up-tempo joint. And after hearing "I Can't Tell U The Remix" I just HAD to shoot back at Masterfork in the last verse, even though I'm just screwin around. My music, even though I'm a college student, will always be with me. That's my message
Lyrics
“The Great Return”
Verse 1:
Yo I’m comin out the blocks like a runner on speed
I ran the mile in 5 40, I ain’t smoking no weed
Rich Hall, Penthouse, that’s is where I’m at
Until November, when I’m running to Stuy Town and back
Ever since 4 Real dropped, the hood has been begging for more
As I have said, there ain’t no telling what I have in store.
It was only time before my secret leaked to BU
My cover is blown, now what the hell am I gonna do
But put on shows everywhere, say hi to everyone
Who said that college life wasn’t supposed to be fun
Now you think I think I’m all that, cause I got a CD
But I’m just trying to be on the same level, achieve normalcy
Chorus: I’m back to stay, I’m back today
I’m back with too much delay what can I say
Just a little wordplay that I wanna relay:
I won’t ever go away!
Verse 2:
You can say I’m gifted, I can lyrically tear you to bits
You’ve got it bad if some dude ghost-wrote all 5 of your hits
In comparison, most of you guys are boring
Ask anyone who knows me, they’ll tell you the same thing
I produce, I flow, and I don’t care about bling bling
Most of my songs are self-produced and I can even sing
I don’t need no R&B girl to sing my hooks
Cause I’m convinced that real music is about much more than looks
I don’t need any advice about how to improve my style
Cause I’ll bet that you ain’t found a guy with these much guts in a while
I’ve been gone for some time, but don’t cry or mourn
You never have to wait too long to get new sh** from SHRM4!
Chorus
Verse 3:
If you’re working out harder than me, I don’t wanna smell you
I got you shook after you heard “I Can’t Even Tell U”
And after I left, my crew hit you with the Remix
If you ain’t recovered from that one I’m here with the fix
Like my dad I’ll operate on beats, but I ain’t no Pre-Med
When I’m not around to drop hits Kadavir’s rhymes will knock you dead.
I almost forgot to mention my homeboy J Panic
If you need your style repaired, you can call this Mechanick
Yes I came to college instead of the studio
Cause I’m smart, you’d best believe, or I wouldn’t do this audio
I will make it, because I’m always working and I stay sober
If you drink or just play video games your game is over
Now Masterfork you think you’re hot,
Getting girls to swoon over you, dissing on Scot
Just wait till I get back to the city, it’ll be a pity
I’ll take the throne back from a Russian composer, trying to act pretty.
Chorus
